Ash is the Founder and General Partner of Archetype. Ash has been leading investments in seed-stage crypto companies and protocols since 2015, having led early investments in now pillar crypto companies and protocols including Chainalysis (2015), Mina (2017), Near (2018), and Balancer (2019). He also led Accomplice's investments in Dapper Labs/Flow (2018), and Bison Trails (2018) [acq. Coinbase], among others.
Before founding Archetype, he was a Partner at Accomplice leading the firm’s blockchain/crypto practice. Ash also previously co-launched the venture arm of ConsenSys and spent time at Converge VC in Boston.
Katherine
wu

Katherine is a Venture Partner at Archetype. Prior to joining Archetype, Katherine was a Senior Lead at Coinbase Ventures, where she scaled the investment practice and oversaw a record-breaking year in dealmaking. Before Coinbase, Katherine advised a number of crypto companies including Balancer Labs, Solana Labs, and the Ethereum Foundation. She was also the first business hire at Messari.
Katherine is the inaugural Research Fellow at the Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI), where she generates and oversees research projects that document the opportunities and challenges faced by the crypto industry in policy advocacy globally.

Katie is an Associate at Archetype. Before joining Archetype, Katie was an Analyst at Coinbase Ventures, focused on consumer investments and DAO governance research. Katie was also previously a core contributor/talent scout at Friends with Benefits and a Gitcoin KERNEL fellow.

Benjamin is an Analyst at Archetype, where he focuses on both investments and research in mechanism design and futuristic onchain applications. Prior to joining Archetype, he led product development at an NFTfi startup.
Nick

Nick is a Research Partner at Archetype, focused on advising portfolio companies on building sustainable decentralized architecture. Nick is also an early engineer at UMA protocol where he co-leads the smart contract team building an optimistic oracle ecosystem secured by economic incentives.

Will is a Research Partner at Archetype, focused on mechanism design research and the interoperability stack. Outside of Archetype, he is the Co-Founder and CTO of Decent, solving cross-chain, single click payments. Before joining Archetype and founding Decent, Will spent time at Meta, Coinbase, and Polychain.

Katie is the Network Operations Associate at Archetype, supporting the firm’s platform and administrative initiatives. Before joining Archetype, Katie was an Office and Events Coordinator at Lightspeed Venture Partners, helping launch their European branch. Previously, Katie was a licensed psychotherapist for students at UC Berkeley.
