When I started investing in crypto in 2015, it wasn’t an industry. It was called “the Bitcoin market.”

As a recent graduate at the time, I felt compelled to stake my career and future on the blockchain experiment that was just beginning to take shape. And I was far from alone.

Today, the industry we now call crypto totals $4T in assets and includes multiple publicly traded companies. Coinbase recently joined the S&P 500. Fintech juggernaut, Stripe, has spent billions of dollars acquiring star-studded crypto teams. Circle’s Nasdaq debut underscored institutional excitement around stablecoins. And mobile-first Robinhood is leaning hard into crypto, as seen by their acquisition of Bitstamp and the announcement of their own blockchain.

This wave of corporate adoption is proof of crypto's maturity. But acceptance by the incumbents isn’t the endgame.
